Sorry for keeping you waiting

Hi everyone,

I’m sorry for the late post, but I can explain.. I was sick on Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday I went to the doctor for a check-up and I found out I have a sinus infection. The good news is I won’t die, but the bad news is that the medicine is making me really drowsy.

Well, what have I been up to the last week and a half? Roux finally peed when I pet her. I know this sounds strange so let me explain. Roux (our dog) has peed on everybody in the family or at least peed on the ground while being petted, except by me. So finally, when I said good-night to her and pet her on the head, she peed! Now I’m officially a part of the family. (haha)  The down side of this story is, I had to clean it up, because mom was sleeping.

On January 31st,  I had a cyber date with Kim. That sounds really nerdy, but it was nice. We were face timing through my I-pad and her I-pod touch, while we were watching the 100th episode of Gossip Girl! Well it was a challenge, because sometimes we were not exactly the same so you could here an echo. I really had a good time doing that, even though it sounds really stupid.  After the cyber date we invited Daan to join us in a conversation through Skype. This has become our new ‘thing’. It is hilarious. Daan was talking about a show he was watching, while I was explaining to Kim what I was planning to do with my room and Kim was having a conversation with her brother. There was also a possibility that Kim was telling me to watch what I’m eating, because every time I talk to her I’m eating something or I’m making pancakes.  Daan  was on the other side asking me about smores and if I could ship out some food.

You have seen them on T.V. You have heard about their selling tricks. You have heard that the stuff they sell is good. Yes, I’m talking about: GIRLSCOUT COOKIES!
They are real!  My mom has a student who is a girl scout and she sold me two boxes of Thin Mints. I’m really addicted to those things! Come on, it’s a dark chocolate cookie with a mint taste. No, she did not sell them to me while wearing a uniform and she was not mean or a geek. So now we can delete the stereo type Girl Scout we have in our head and replace it with a normal girl.

Except for Sunday my weekend was fun.  On Sunday I was sick so I couldn’t go to friends for the Super Bowl. On Friday friends of  Josh and my parents came over. It was fun.  We laughed a lot. It is hard to give in to it, but my parents and their friends do have humor. On Saturday we went to the antique store.  We bought some stuff  there and after that we went to Old Town. As you can guess it is an old part of San Diego. I’m not going to tell the history. You  have Google and can look it up. While we were there we went to the Irish store   the little market and a candy shop. At the end we sat down to have something to eat. The drinks were so huge; you could almost drown a grown man in it.

I think these were the highlights of my week.

Love, Crysta.
