My trip to Los Angeles

Bonjour,

Well, as you’ve probably noticed, I’ve been a bit lazy when it comes to new posts. I’m sorry for this, but I had a four day weekend and I don’t work on the blog when I’m home. Why? I have no idea. I just don’t.

On Friday Mom and I went to the mall, because we were the only ones who had that day off. We started by the Forever 21. This is one of my favorite stores and it turned into a two story building. I’ve never seen so many clothes in one store that I liked. You can ask all my friends. I’m really picky about my clothes and it takes me forever to find something I like. Here it only took me 5 minutes before I had found something. Of course Mom already had 10 pieces in 5 minutes. It’s a mystery to me how she does it. I ended up buying a pair of ballerina’s, a long brown skirt, a sleeveless shirt, sunglasses and some lace tights. You can find the picture on the right. I didn’t buy them to combine them; I’ll wear them separately. Even though I had a great time with Mom I missed my shopping addicted friend Kim, especially when Mom came with the idea to get Subway for dinner that night before we drove up to LA.

On Friday night we drove up to LA to spend Saturday there. When we got there it was fun to see Baba, but I went as fast as I could to bed. We needed to get up at 7 AM the next morning, because we were going to the farmers market, which is located in Hollywood (or at least next to it). So we saw the studios and famous buildings on our way over there and of course the Hollywood sign. I couldn’t take a picture of the sign, because we were sitting in the car. It was so great to go to the farmers market because I love fresh food and I can actually get good bread there. I use to go there with mama and daddy when I still lived in the USA, so it was really cool to hear Daddy and Baba talk about that. After we did our shopping for food we walked around the shops: Forever 21, Coach, Nike, Zara, Apple, Luis Vuitton etc. Jazz was coming out of the speakers on the street, which gave me the feeling that I was in a black and white movie.

Our second stop was by the tar-pits. I remember coming there when I was 10 years old and we went there during our Christmas break. It still stinks, but it was very interesting. We even got to see some bones and tar bubbles. Joshua can’t wait to go back to visit the museums.
It is so weird to imagine that LA is the biggest place in the world where the most remains of ice age creatures are found. Did you know that California use to have a type of lion living there?
Now it’s a beautiful park surrounded by streets and high buildings and of course museums.
You can actually have picnics next to a place where animals use to drown. Birds are smart enough not to go in it. Oh yeah, we even got to see some people working on some fossils and stuff. This was a very educational moment of our day.

The third stop was Hollywood Boulevard! I was so happy, because I think I’ve been asking to go there for many years. I finally could see Johnny Depp’s star, Michael Jacksons star, Tom Hanks star and we went to the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. If you don’t know what that is, that is where in the old days all the premieres of movies were held. Still to this day the most premieres are held here. You can also find the autographs, foot-and handprints of stars here. We drove by the Kodak theatre where the Oscars will be held this year.
I just can’t wait to share all of this stuff with my friends. They would love it!
No I’m still not finished talking about Saturday. I know it’s a long story, but at least this post has pictures! Our last activity of the day was Seal Beach. We use to live in this neighborhood and every time I go to visit Baba we go there. We didn’t go on the beach. Instead, we went to the main street to the little shops. I got a hanger for in my room so I can hang up my jacket. I was actually looking for a dress, because they have the cutest boutiques there, but I just couldn’t find a cute dress. It’s very frustrating, how hard can it be to find a cute dress that actually fits me?

After all of this we went back to Baba’s home. We weren’t even inside when Daddy said,”Come on were going to Mr.  & Mrs. A.”. They are the parents of my godfather and one of daddy’s oldest friends. I always enjoy going to see them, because I can have great conversations with them. That was our last activity of the day (finally, haha)
When we were back at Baba’s I was hoping that Francisco or Jared had come home. Jared is my cousin and Francisco is a friend. Francisco had a good excuse, because he is really busy with school lately. Jared, however, just ran off (which pissed me off.) what made me pissed. So, the next morning after taking a shower I started to bang on his door as a gift. I’m not so sure he was so happy about that, because he had come home at 3 AM, but at that moment I really didn’t care. I actually still don’t care that I did it.

On Sunday morning we left and went back to San Diego. We had some friends over for dinner. I went to bed early because I had a really bad headache so that was a bummer. On Monday I had the house all for myself. So I sat on the couch and I watched movies the whole day and I baked cookies.

It’s really funny to see how much I did on Saturday and how little I did on Sunday and Monday count together.

Well Daddy is out of town again for a week so that’s a bummer.
I will try to shorten my posts in the future. Haha

Love, Crysta.
