After 6 months of hard work it's finally vacation! My last week at school was fun and chaotic at the same time. Monday was a normal day. Not that normal, because I can't recall doing any math or daily language but we didn't have anything 'special' going on. Wait we did, the third, forth, second and eight graders performed a Hip-Hop dance. It was really cool to see. On Tuesday I went to Soak City with the six graders, but I already posted something about that.
On Wednesday I went to the Mesa Rim Climbing Center with the third graders. That was a adventure. We had to fill in these insurance papers, may you fall or something else happened to you that you wouldn't sue them. That didn't go as planned. Everybody who went filled one in, but the climbing center had no records of them. So Alexis was dealing with that while the kids were going crazy outside from excitement, I do have to give them credit for their patience. When everything was done and everybody was aloud to go in it was time to go climbing. The kids were so excited and some of them a little bit scared, but they got over it. It was so cool to see everybody enjoy their time. Alexis belay me while I was climbing, but the only problem was I wasn't aloud to come down unless I had reached the top. So that was really funy. I'm ready to come down! Alexis: No, you're not there yet.
They also had an automatic belay, I tried that one out. Pff, you first had to fall 5 feet before the belay realized that you were going down. Was a whole adventure and the next day I was very sore, but I think I could get into this. Even if it's just for the cute guys. Hahaha.
Thursday was a fun day. We watched the movie RIO, cleaned up their cubbies en brought all their work home. The kids did take a test, what was the downer of the day. The room was full of popcorn and crumbs at the end. Sarah (Alexis' dog) really enjoyed that.
Today was the last day. We only had a half day, so not that much time to do something. One of the students dad came to put on a magic show what was cool to see and a couple of the girls had made up a performance. That I did miss, because we found some stuff that needed to be taken care off before the end of the day so the kids could take it home.
When school was over we had a little picknick with some of the students and a waterballoon fight outside. No I did not join the waterballoon fight. I was cleaning up the room. I really enjoyed working with everybody at IA. I'm really lucky that I was allowed to work with Alexis all day for the last couple of months. Now my only focus is college. I'm actually doing math at this moment.. but I'm taking a little brake. Hihi.
The boys are out camping this weekend and won't be back until Sunday morning on fathers day.
So mom and I have the house to ourselves. YESH!
Now I have to get back to my math, only 1.5 chapters to go and I'm finished with this weeks assignment.
Love, Crysta.
